Botox

I posted on Instagram last week about my upcoming Botox appointment at The Wellhouse and asked if you we’re interested in the process and what I get done and a majority (80%) said yes. So if you have zero interest, feel free to skip this, however the rest of you I thought I would write a little blurb about it.

I’m 35 years old and the wrinkles in my forehead had been bothering me for a couple of years. I started my skin journey at the beginning of the year at The Wellhouse so I had been going there for about 3 months and had really gotten to know the staff and environment. I knew that they would never suggest anything that they didn’t believe in. So when I mentioned my forehead and Botox, I felt safe knowing that they would give me just the right amount.

My first treatment was in March before vacation and once it settled in I LOVED it. My wrinkles were GONE!!! I was a 35 year old mom with no wrinkles. My makeup wore better and I felt more confident without makeup. There is a stigma attached to Botox, filler, surgery, etc. and while I’ve never had plastic surgery I don’t look down on anyone that does it. Whatever makes you feel better in your own skin should be no one’s business but your own. If I want to get botox every few months I’m going to do it. And to be completely transparent, I also got my lips done a couple of months ago and love them too! (Let me know if you want more details on that - they were also done at The Wellhouse.)

Now, onto what I get…..

I don’t do a lot, 30 units total and they’re all in my forehead and 11’s (the space between my eyebrows). Check out the before and after photos below. The photos on the left are before my first treatment and the ones on the right are before my second session last week.

Crazy, right?! These also show the difference in my lips as well. If you’re looking for a medical spa that will never try to convince you that you need anything done, I couldn’t recommend The Wellhouse enough! They’re all about natural enhancement which I love!
